Thank You — The Seven Tuns Campaign Is Underway!
First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who came along to the recent Village Hall meeting. The atmosphere was really positive, and the message from the community couldn’t have been clearer: we want The Seven Tuns back as our pub, owned by us, run for us.
Since then, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes with Criterion Asset Management (CAM) to keep up momentum. We’re pleased to let you know that we’ve now submitted a formal offer to buy The Seven Tuns, based on an independent professional valuation. This offer is, of course, subject to contract and — crucially — to raising the necessary funds. CAM will now pass it on to the owners, The Wellington Pub Company, and we’ll keep you updated as negotiations progress.
We Need Your Help
Now is the time to roll up our sleeves. If we get the green light, we’ll need to move fast — and we can’t do it without more hands on deck. Right now, we’re particularly looking for people with skills in:
* Accounting or bookkeeping
* Architecture or structural surveying
* Admin and project coordination
* Publicity and communications
* Running share offers or fundraising campaigns

Launching the Share Offer
To prepare, we’ve already set up a Community Benefit Society — the legal framework we’ll use to launch our Share Offer. This will give everyone the opportunity to invest in The Seven Tuns and help bring it back to life. We’ll also be seeking donations and grant funding to support the effort.
This is a big challenge. But with the community’s energy, generosity and determination, we believe we can turn the dream of reclaiming The Seven Tuns into a reality.
Let’s bring our pub back.
